Ladies of Lighthouse
Director: Christina Carter
“A new command I give you, Love one another. As I have loved you, you must love one another. By this
everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:34-35
The Ladies of Lighthouse is the women’s ministry arm of Lighthouse Baptist Church. We are organized to lovingly encourage women in their spiritual growth as disciples of Jesus Christ. Our mission is the mission common to all Christians, to lift up Jesus so that all would be drawn to Him. Our vision is that as women grow and mature in their love for the Lord, they will then grow in love for their families, for each other, for their community, and for their world. We believe that the ladies ministry does not stand alone, but is marbled throughout the church body, under the umbrella authority of the pastor, for service in every area.
More specifically, we encourage women through
- Ladies Bible Study
- Primarily on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am with the Bible as our textbook
Ladies Night Out
- To build networks among our women and encourage bonds of friendship that provide the framework for mentoring
Community Service
- To picture the love of Christ by serving others in practical ways. This includes an ongoing ministry at Bryceville Elementary School
Meal Ministry
- Providing an immediate need for those grieving, sick, or homebound
Retreats
- To take time and retreat from the world in order to focus on building relationships within our church body during a concentrated Bible study
